Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for keeping track of all the club's income & expenditure and producing the accounts for the AGM in April. Not very interesting but it takes a lot of money to run a club like ours with nearly all the income from member subscriptions so it's important to keep accurate records and try to plan for the future.

Training
Officer
This role and that of the Assistant Training Officer, is to ensure safe, competent and consistent training to all members in the club, irrespective of level or organisation as everyone can always learn something!
It is the responsibility of the training officer to ensure that all Instructors, Advanced Divers and Dive Leaders enjoy their own diving throughout the year and do not spend all their time training, after all it is because we enjoy diving that we took up the sport! |

Membership
Secretary
The role of the Membership Secretary is to liase with BSAC, distribute and collect BSAC membership renewals and all of the paperwork that goes with it. Our own club is also important and the Membership Secretary ensures that members renew their membership and pay their fees on time. There's a lot of paperwork and you will often see the membership secretary buzzing around on club night collecting signatures and cheques. |

Social
Secretary
The role of Social Secretary is to ensure that we operate as a club otherwise we might all as well go out on charter boats. The Social aspect of the club is important if we are to succeed in team building and keeping our members happy. |

Boat
Officer
The boat officer is responsible for coordinating all the activities required to ensure the boat lasts as long as possible. This includes complying with any legislation, paying mooring fees, insurance, servicing, cleaning, making improvements etc. To do any of this requires the help of other club members, and there are people within the club who can offer advice and are willing to give their time to work on their boat. In we aim to get and keep Dunribbin up to the survey standard required by the commercial boats. Whilst not strictly required as the boat is only operated by its owners (ie club members), we feel that the club owes a duty of care to its members to operate as safely as possible.

2nd
Boat Officer/2nd Equipment Officer
Once the 1st boat officer has decided what needs doing on the boat, the job of 2nd boat officer is to negotiate, beg, borrow (not steal) the tools, equipment and supplies needed. They will also have to persuade, cajole and pester other club members and their families to muck in and do the job. This ensures that our magnificent diving platform, Dunribbin is kept sea-worthy and ready for diving. |

Welfare
Officer
The post of welfare officer is one which has been recently created by BSAC and which clubs have the option of including on their committee. The post is focussed on the club’s responsibilities towards the welfare and protection of young people and recent legislation which requires voluntary organisations to undertake checks on any volunteers who might be working with young people. WATSAC took the decision, in the last AGM, to include a clause in its constitution which enables us to undertake appropriate Criminal Record Bureau checks for any potential members of the club and to set up the post which I now hold.
