Discussion around 3-fold leaflet, to advertise the club. To be sent out when there are enquiries and to leave with dive shops for people to pick up. To get them professionally printed you could get 200 done for ~£45. It has been decided to issue a leaflet as a test.

Action –Sharon will have an example ready for next week.

Chairman / Webmaster

JR services want people to settle up any bills as soon as possible since they give us a number of benefits.

The fees section of the website has been updated after some of the suggestions from last meeting.

Dive Officer

Would like to propose Chris B for sports diver award. Seconded by Jock and motion carried.

There have been a number of dives but there has only been a few people on the boat. The October come and try has not had any interest so far.

It has been suggested that buoyancy practice should be a possiblity for the next dives. Inline with BSAC suggestions it would involve putting a mark at 6m and divers would be required to hover at the mark

We have bought 4 sets of new kit for £2485 inc projector. £6511.46 left in the bank after that however most of that is lottery money. There is currently £240 in petty cash.

Boat Officer

Not present

A new radio will most probably need to be bought soon. Ask B station for radio for boat. Handheld radio battery will most have to be replaced, losing charge very quickly. For the last 3 dives we have used ~£220 on fuel with only £340 coming in so £120 is only going back in towards boat repairs.

Action – Shaheed to contact B station to attempt to funding to replace the radios

The Christmas party is set for 12th December at Fishponds. Thanks to Zoe and Martin for ringing around. The cost is £24.95

The last weekend in November (28/29/30) event wiill be at the Black Cock inn. No prices at the moment.

Would be grateful if anybody has any ideas to organise events before Christmas.

Welfare Officer

2 current members who need CRB to be sorted out. Anybody else who goes to the pool for training should be have a CRB check.

Fundraising Officer

Will be ringing round to see why people are not diving.

General Member

Phil – Ad put in the paper. £65 for the advert. Put a repeat advert in for the next week.

Any Other Business

One of the diving member suggested the installation of a land tank for diesel for the boat. This was discussed but decided against due to issues of getting the fuel to the boat.

Lou her Ocean diver passed last week, congratulations.
